The most beautiful and sacred supports for our Beloved-Gaza
MADLEEN - Freedom Flotilla Coalition: Break the siege
📌Please track their journey here and pray for their safety and victory over the criminal occupation and traitors: https://freedomflotilla.org/ffc-tracker/
Who is Madleen and its very beautiful, sincere, and sacred mission?
Madleen or Madeleine is a small boat carrying global conscience, love, care, sincerity, and humanity towards Gaza to break the siege of the most veil occupier entity ever existed on this earth.
On June 1, 2025, the ship set sail from Catania, Italy, heading towards Gaza, carrying baby formula, medicine, and activists from 12 countries, including Greta Thunberg and actor Liam Cunningham. The ship is not merely a vessel, but a powerful cry of global conscience in defiance of an Israeli siege that has lasted more than 17 years. As Greta Thunberg said, "We are witnessing genocide being broadcast live, and silence is complicity." [Hind's Call, 2025]
"In partnership with Forensic Architecture, the Freedom Flotilla Coalition has equipped the ‘Madleen’ with an advanced tracking system. This technology plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety of those on board, maintaining transparency about the vessel’s location, and holding potential aggressors accountable for their actions. The tracker is not simply a navigation tool; it is a form of protection." [Freedom Flotilla, 2025]
MADLEEN'S MISSION
We will share Madleen's sacred and beautiful mission with you. We will do this by telling you the story of her journey, from preparation to cutting through the water and defying ongoing hostility, threats and interception by the most evil entity that has ever existed on this earth: the Israeli occupation, particularly its naval forces. Various statements from activists supporting this struggle made the journey and her mission even more beautiful, inspiring and courageous.
27 May 2025
"We will not be silent while Gaza is being starved. We are prepared to sail again towards Gaza to break the siege and create a humanitarian sea corridor and confront the inaction of governments who abandon their responsibilities.
This is not just an act of solidarity. It is also an act of resistance.
What's happening in Gaza is not a tragedy. It's a crime. A crime enforced through silence, powered by arms and protected by political alliances and a system that we need to challenge.
After the violent attack on the conscience in international waters, the message was clear. Even humanitarian aid is being treated as a threat.
This is not just about Gaza. This is about global complicity.
For 19 months, Gaza has endured a campaign of war crimes, genocide, and now a full blockade of aid. Israel is using starvation as a weapon of war. Funded, excused, and ignored by the same governments, corporations, and media who claim to stand for human rights. Our ship, the conscience, was attacked not in Gaza, but in European waters. Yet another war crime, but this time in international waters just 20 kilometers from Malta. While weapons flow freely and granted safe passage, our vessel carrying the much needed aid was bombed, stranded, and silenced. And as we approach the 15th anniversary of Israel's killing of 10 activists on the Mavi Marmara with zero accountability, we are reminded of a global system built on crimes and impunity.
If anyone thought that Gaza is too far away to care, know that Israel has entered Europe to commit war crimes against civilians.
Leaders choose silence. We choose action.
And that's why in the days leading to our departure, May the 30th, 31st, and June the 1st, we hold events in Katana to raise political pressure, to raise awareness, to mobilize the people. We call on everyone, local communities, international activists, independent media, and especially we call on all of those tired of watching from the sidelines. And to the captains and boat owners of the region, if you can sail with us, join us. Every boat that sails towards Gaza is a message that cannot be ignored.
To the people of Italy and all around the world, this is your moment to show up. We will sail aboard a smaller ship called Madleen after Gaza Fisherwoman of 2014. A symbol of resilience and resistance that will carry our determination and love for Gaza and justice over the seas. Stand with Gaza. Stand for justice. Stand against the siege. Fill the poor. Sign the petition. Share this video. Join us in Katana.
All eyes on deck."

"Madleen, the boat that is going to sail towards Gaza to try to break the siege and create a humanitarian corridor. This mission of freedom flotilla is going to start from Katana, Italy. And we are waiting for all of you to participate in all the events prior to the launch of the mission. We are waiting for all of you there to support us and to speak about the cause of humanity and also to support all the missions who are doing something actively to stop this genocide. The complicity of the governments they forgot their responsibility towards the people. We need to understand that silence makes you complicit. So many humans and yet such little humanity. So that's why I make a call to action to the entire world. Keep the torch of awareness alive more than ever.
I must tell you that we are all one. We are all a team. From the people who are home staying on the first line of the digital battle, from the people who are on the ground, people who are doing missions, everybody who doesn't stay silent.
I and we are impatient and grateful to see you in the events prior to the launch of Freedom Flotilla. And again and again, the power resides in the masses being united, the power of the people.
Don't stay silent. speak about Gaza and speak about the missions who are actively trying to do something to break the siege and end the genocide."

1 June 2025
"This is 1st of June and Madleen is about to sail towards Gaza. We're just making the last preparation right now in the crew. It's it's preparing the boat and we have so many people there on land. So I'm here with one of my favorite human beings, with Yas. She's one of the leaders and the beautiful people who are going to go on this mission with Madleen, to break the siege and do this humanitarian action for the world to see and follow. And I would like her to tell you with her own words: 'How do you feel and what do you have to say to the world right now?'
'I could sit at home and you know, just sit at home, but we are against this because humanity requires us to do this. For 19 months we've tried everything and unfortunately it did not work and we're just hoping and you know it's it's just about solidarity. It's about being in solidarity and just doing what we can do. We need to get up. We have to take action because people are being starved, children are being starved, and we cannot any longer watch this.'
We need to speak because those people are putting their lives in danger and it's about Palestine. It's about Gaza and all the actions that are actively doing something to break this siege. And we need to understand that of course we are emotional, of course, they know the danger that they're getting in and we are praying to God for everything to be okay and we have faith. And I would love to thank you first of all for being in my life and second of all for being such a wonderful human. You're going to be okay. You're going to be okay. You know all eyes on deck.
All eyes on Palestine. Demand safe passage. Sign all the petitions. Fill the form.
Do whatever you have in your power because, right now, if you're thinking what can I do, you have many missions and you have Freedom Flotilla to keep your eyes on and to come together for those missions. Thank you. All eyes on deck."

MADLEEN'S MEETING WITH ODIOUS ENEMY
4 June 2025 night
"Hello everyone. We are reporting here from the Madleen. We are right now at 80 km from Greek lands and 68 km from Greek territorial borders. What happened is that we just spotted a drone and we confirmed it is a drone, but we just lost a visual with it. It could have either turned back or turned off the lights. We have our safety procedures here and it demands us to go get all of our life jackets. you prepared to alert level at the maximum, especially if it's approaching us, and we sound the alarm for you. Now, we count on all of you to share what's going on here and to please let the world know that we are 80 km from Greece and we need we need your help. That's it. Please send this distress signal to everyone." [Thiago - Madleen Crew, 2025]
"Okay, so we saw a drone approaching us at exactly 10 p.m. We immediately took our put our life vests on and we could see the drone. It was very clear. It was in front of the vessel. So, we positioned ourselves to abandon ship, but then the lights went off and the drone could be anywhere. Literally anywhere. It's so dark we can't see anything. So it could be still above us, in front of us, behind us, next to us, I don't know. But this could also be a thigh up, a way to scare us. Um, we will keep you updated, but make sure to follow our content, make sure to share it, make sure to make comments." [Yasemin - Madleen Crew, 2025]
"Helenic Coast Guard Heron drone was seen active close to your location a couple of hours ago - ADSB hasn't updated assets location since 20:30 pm. It did a similar trajectory the last couple of days." [Forensic Architecture, 2025]
"Thank you to everyone who shared our live updates and supported those on the ‘Madleen’. At 11:12pm CEST +1, 68km away from Greek territorial waters, a drone began to hover above the ‘Madleen’. The drone is no longer there. Thankfully, everyone on the ‘Madleen’ is safe. Team on the land have heard back from Search And Rescue who have reported that it was a Helenic Coast Guard Heron surveillance drone. We will update everyone as soon as possible - please stay alert and stay with us. Follow the ‘Madleen’" [Madleen Crew, 2025]
"After drones repeatedly hovered over the ‘Madleen’ last night, we need people of the world to help tag and email their foreign ministry. The volunteers aboard are delivering life-saving aid to Gaza. They are unarmed, carrying only food, medicine, and baby formula, and acting fully within international law. It’s time for world governments to step up. Demand they protect their citizens aboard the 'Madleen' and stop enabling Israel's war crimes. Safe passage is a legal obligation, and a moral one." [Madleen Crew, 2025]
5 June 2025
"The use of Heron drones by Greece is a key tool in the growing alliance between Greece, Cyprus, ‘I$rael’, and the US, tightening control over the Eastern Mediterranean. Under the 3+1 framework, surveillance data gathered by these drones can be funneled to ‘I$rael’, reinforcing a regional intelligence web that serves military dominance and the suppression of the region, particularly against the Palestinian people." [Freedom Flotilla Coalition, 2025, https://t.me/FFC_official_channel]
5 June 2025
"On the evening of 3 June, the Madleen was visited by a Hellenic Coast Guard Heron drone. A few hours later, the Madleen was visited by what were believed to be two Frontex drones. The origin of these drones could not be verified. The Madleen was visited again on June 5 at 2:55 a.m by another drone.
The crew are safe and believe the deployment of the surveillance drones was intended to intimidate.
The Freedom Flotilla Coalition is also concerned that Greece and/or the European Union is conducting surveillance on behalf of israel or intends to share intelligence that could facilitate israel's threatened attack.
Occupation forces have said their navy is preparing for the arrival of the Gaza Flotilla sailboat, Madleen, which left Sicily on its way to Gaza in an attempt to open a sea corridor.
John Dugard, Professor of International Law, 'israel will clearly argue that is entitled to act in self-defense, in resisting the arrival of the Gaza Freedom Flotilla. But, of course, this is absolute nonsense, because in order to justify action in self-defense, israel has to satisfy the international community that it has been subjected to an attack. And one can hardly describe the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza as an attack. The Gaza Freedom Flotilla plans to enter the territorial sea of the State of Palestine to deliver humanitarian aid.'
International legal experts argue israel does not have the right to block the civil vessel carrying aid that plans to sail from international waters directly into Gaza.
John Dugard further explained, 'The State of Palestine has exclusive territorial rights over the territorial sea. It's important to stress that in July 2024, the International Court of Justice held that the continued presence of Israel in the occupied state of Palestine is unlawful. In other words, the occupation itself is unlawful. This means that there can be no argument that israel is entitled to maintain law and order in the territorial sea of Gaza. In effect, the Gaza Freedom Flotilla, by providing humanitarian aid to Gaza, is simply carrying out the obligation of the United Kingdom, whose flag it flies, to prevent the commision of the crime of genocide. As far as the crime of genocide is concerned, the conduct of israel in Gaza has been widely recognized as genocide. But most important of all, is the fact that the International Court of Justice in January 2024, held that the right of the Palestinians in Gaza to be protected in the context of israel's actions is plausible. International law is completely on the side of the Gaza Freedom Flotilla. It has the right to enjoy the freedom of the right seas. No ship may interfere with a ship on the high seas other than the flag state of that particular ship, in this case, the United Kingdom. Undoubtedly, the Gaza Freedom Flotilla faces serious consequences as a result of its decision to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza. Because if one goes by previous experiences of this kind, it is clear that the israeli authorities will not tolerate attempts to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza. But, it is important to stress that israel's actions of this kind, to intercept a ship and to board it and to behave as it did in the case of the Mavi Marmara are illegal.'"

MADLEEN'S ON MEDITERRANIAN SEA
7 June 2025
"It's the seventh day of the journey of the boat meal to Gaza to break the siege and to create a people's humanitarian corridor. We've come a long way and now we can finally say that we are so close. Right there it's Egypt and right there 48 hours from now it's Gaza. We arrive on Monday. And to be honest, this mission should not even exist. We know that should be countries doing that and a global peace force doing that. It should be the countries that sign the UN charter itself. The countries that signed the statute of Rome, the UN convention against genocide, against apartheid, international organization should be doing an effort like this. Not everyday people like us. But when governments fail, we sail. And we know we have a responsibility here. And we're not even the story. The story is the Palestinian people has been surviving eight decades of a genocide and ethnic cleansing that structures itself into an apartheid colonial state that is led not by a religion but by an ideology a racist and supremacist hateful ideology called Zionism and that right now has been escalating this genocide into one year and 9 months hell on earth and that for 3 months now has left the Palestinian people without any food after 82 face of a total blockade that not a single drop of water, not a single bag of rice. We need to challenge them because it's the duty of the peoples of the world to stop this genocide and all they have is their bombs and their weapons and their violence and their hate. And we have all the rest. We have collectivity. We have solidarity. We have billions of people in this world that abominates what's happening in Palestine, abominates the genocide, that that know deep in their hearts that starving children to death is wrong and that more and more are willing to do something about it. So we do not fear them because throughout history we understand that when these moments happen, this march to freedom is unstoppable. Now it's our turn to answer to the historical calling of our generation and defeat Zionism and its worst expression imperialism led by the United States of America. The time is now to create the biggest global uprising humanity has ever seen. And we need to do this wisely. We need to do this strategically. But we need to mobilize everyone. The time is now. So do whatever you can wherever you are. We do not stop for their threats. We do not fear them because we know that throughout history when it comes this to this point they can stop a few of us but they will never stop the social majorities of this world. Keep echoing the voices of the Palestinian people. Keep sharing what's happening in Gaza. The violations increased severely in the last few days. Keep sharing other initiatives as well. We are all together in the same boat through liberation and to social justice. Thank you so much for everything you've been doing. It's been amazing being on this journey with you. We feel confident. We feel safe with you. We are together." [Thiago - Madleen Crew, 2025]

"Eid Mubarak!
We are coming!
Assalamu'alaykum to our sisters and brothers in Gaza.
This Eid arrives in the shadow of devastation. We see your streets in ruins. Your homes shattered. Your families grieving. We see your children pulled from rubble, your mothers holding lifeless bodies, your fathers digging graves with bare hands. And we refuse to look away.
So this Eid, we will not speak only of patience.
We will not wrap your agony in platitudes about strength.
Instead, we say this: You deserve life. You deserve justice. You deserve peace. You deserve to celebrate Eid without mourning the people you've just buried. We will not stop speaking your names.
We will not stop demanding justice. We will not stop until Palestine is Free, where the only sounds on the morning of Eid is Adzan, and laughter and not bombs. Where your land is your own, your sky is your own, your future finaly your own.
From all of us across the world, and the Madleen, we see you, we mourn with you, and we promise you this: one day, Eid will be celebrated in a Free Gaza, a Gaza Alive, whole and at peace.
Eid Mubarak."

"What is happening in Gaza right now is unprecedented, and we do not accept this genocide. We do not accept the illegal occupation, the siege, and apartheid state.
How can we accept a world that lets that happen? How can we expect that world to take a few steps back to prioritize ecology, or the future of our biosphere and living planet?
There can be no climate justice on occupied land, no climate justice without social justice. The fight for climate justice is just as much a fight against the fossil fuel industry, as much as it is a fight against the military industrial complex. International Law has proven in practice to almost mean close to nothing. That leaves us with nothing but impunity for those who are deliberately causing genocide and ecocide.
How many people have to die before we decide that, okay, this is the right moment?
So it falls on us as communities, as human rights defenders, to take that responsibility to say and do what needs to be said and done. There is simply no other option to do everything you can to demand accountability.
Israel is using starvation as a deliberate weapon, and the Freedom Flotilla Coalition has made a promise to Palestinians that they will be continue to do everything they can to break the siege of Gaza and to protest and stand in solidarity with Palestinians. And that promise is being kept.
The voyage that is embarking now, has humanitarian aid on it and has the aim of continuously trying to break the illegal siege that israel has on Gaza and to open a humanitarian corridor.
All eyes on deck.
Sign the petition.
Demand a safe passage for the Freedom Flotilla volunteers and its aid.
Share this video and follow the mission and do your part to speak up for justice, for Palestine."

"Israel’s Defense Minister has once again threatened unlawful force against civilians, attempting to justify violence with baseless smears. We will not be intimidated.
The 'Madleen' is a peaceful civilian vessel, unarmed and sailing in international waters with humanitarian aid and human rights defenders. This mission is independent, guided only by conscience and solidarity with Gaza.
We are currently about 160 nautical miles from Gaza. Earlier signal jamming briefly disrupted our location, but our tracker is functioning again. We remain calm and prepared in the face of possible Israeli aggression.
We call on world governments to demand Israel stand down. It has no right to obstruct our mission or enforce its illegal and brutal blockade.
‘Madleen’ is UK flagged, meaning the UK also has a legal duty to protect its vessel and citizens. Contact them now: @foreignanddevelopmentoffice or on fcdo.correspondence@fcdo.gov.uk"

"Palestinian Journalists Syndicate & Freedom Flotilla Coalition Joint Press Conference. LIVE FROM THE MADLEEN (Also live on YT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owkHeIEzACQ). The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate, in collaboration with the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, invites journalists and media outlets to a joint press conference spotlighting the voices of Palestinian journalists and international volunteers aboard the civilian aid ship Madleen.
This press event will center the experiences and testimonies of Palestinian journalists under siege in Gaza, many of whom have been directly targeted and assassinated for exposing Israel’s ongoing genocide. The conversation will also include international human rights defenders aboard Madleen, who are sailing to Gaza, challenging Israel’s illegal blockade and calling for justice and safe passage.
The Madleen, now less than 150 nautical miles from Gaza, carries baby formula, food, and medical supplies."

"All Eyes On The Freedom Flotilla! All Eyes On Gaza!
As the people of Gaza continue to be starved by the genocidal zionist entity, the U.S., and their Arab collaborators, the Madleen Freedom Flotilla ship set sail from Sicily on June 1 for Gaza to break the illegal siege and blockade and deliver humanitarian aid. Hours ago just after 3 am local time, israeli occupation forces intercepted the ship in international waters and abducted the twelve international activists on board.
The interception of the Madleen comes on the 18th anniversary of the israeli-Egyptian blockade of Gaza which was imposed in June 2007 and continues to this day. For nearly two decades, Gaza has remained the world’s largest open air prison.
On the shores of Gaza, Palestinians awaited the ship’s arrival, and shared messages of solidarity and gratitude on social media towards the activists from Sweden, France, Germany, Brazil, Turkey, Spain and The Netherlands, who took action to break the blockade when their own countries have continued to actively take part in the genocide.
While the Madleen did not reach the shores of Gaza, the Freedom Flotilla exposed that the zionist entity, like its blockade, is not invincible. From Yemen’s blockade of israeli ships and its ongoing struggle in defense of Gaza, to the Freedom Flotilla, to the March to Gaza, to the Resilience Convoy to Break the Siege traveling by land from Mauritania, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Libya, we are now seeing a new chapter of struggle to end the genocide.
Since March 2, 98 days ago, virtually no aid has been let into Gaza. In recent weeks, the U.S.-israeli backed “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation” has been used as a weapon in the ongoing genocide to carry out multiple massacres in which over 100 Palestinians have been murdered in cold blood while attempting to receive food at aid distribution sites, sparking global condemnation.
Palestinians are being starved not only by the genocidal zionist entity, but by the U.S., and all countries who continue to provide weapons, conduct trade and normalize relations with the occupation. We reiterate that just as the U.S. is directly complicit in the ongoing genocide, it is complicit in the ongoing siege and blockade, along with the interception of the Freedom Flotilla and the abduction of its crew.
We join people of conscience around the world in calling for the release of the Madleen crew as we keep all eyes on Gaza and Palestine and carry on the fight to end the siege and blockade, end the genocide and end the occupation. From every corner of the globe, this collective struggle will continue until Palestine has been liberated from the river to the sea."
[Within Our Lifetime - WOL Palestine, 2025, https://t.me/wolpalestine]
“Whether or not the Madleen ship reaches the shores of Gaza, it has already reached the hearts of its people from the very moment it set sail.
Twelve brave individuals embarked on a daring mission to break the siege-reviving hope for those trapped in Gaza, who face daily death by bombs, hunger, and isolation.
This ship didn't just carry aid or passengers-it carried a powerful message that broke through the global silence, pushing major outlets like CNN and BBC to spotlight the ongoing tragedy in Gaza once more.
These courageous souls did what governments could not: they stirred the world's conscience and reminded us all that Gaza is not alone... and that a living, breathing sense of justice can still sail against the tide.” [Eye on Palestine, 2025, https://t.me/Eyeonpalestine2]
"🚨The Israeli occupation authorities have reportedly made preparations to hold the abducted crew of the Freedom flotilla in separate cells at Givon Prison in Ramle.
National security minister Itamar Ben Gvir has given orders to completely ban all communication devices, electronics and anything related to Palestine inside the prison." [Eye on Palestine, 2025, https://t.me/Eyeonpalestine2]
"It’s been 15 hours since we last saw or heard from our friends and comrades. We have not been allowed any contact. Of course, Israeli media alledge that no volunteers have been harmed. But the psychological impact of being forcibly abducted by a military force that is conducting a genocide in Gaza and other war crimes across the world, as well as being cut off from friends, family, and FFC colleagues, is illegal, beyond distressing and an attack on solidarity.
We see everyone fighting for our team - thank you for stepping up and mobilizing. But we are aware that because of our volunteers’ varying passports of privilege, most of them will likely not be subjected to the horrendous torture we know Palestinians face every day - some of which have been imprisoned unlawfully for decades.
This is why must also keep the pressure up on states to stop Israel’s genocide and siege of Gaza, creating the need for a Flotilla in the first place. This is why we are here, right now in this moment - for Gaza. For Palestine." [Freedom Flotilla Coalition, 2025, https://t.me/FFC_official_channel]
10 June 2025
"Our 'Madleen' was on a mission of urgency after a year of set backs, carrying baby formula, food, medicine, and basic humanity. Then came unidentified vessels, speedboats, quadcopters, and finally, Israeli soldiers. Francesca Albanese recounts what happened in real-time as she spoke to the crew live. She reminds us that 'Madleen' was a UK-flagged boat seized in international waters. Israel's interception is an act of piracy. Abduction is illegal, as is their siege, genocide, occupation and countless other war crimes across Palestine. So what makes a small, aid boat so scary for the Israeli occupation? According to Francesca Albanese: it is our humanity. It is everyone's defiance. It is our collective power to break the siege."
"Madleen is in Ashdod Port. We have just received confirmation that all 11 volunteers and one Al Jazeera reporter from the ‘Madleen’ are currently at Ashdod Port. They are being processed and transferred to detention. They are expected to be moved to the Ramleh detention facility unless they agree to leave immediately, in which case they may be permitted to fly out of Tel Aviv as early as tonight. We continue to demand the immediate release of all volunteers and the return of the stolen aid. Their kidnapping is unlawful and a violation of international law."
"Freedom Flotilla Coalition Update: The FFC confirms that 4 of the 12 abducted from international waters have been deported, while 8 remain unjustly detained. Israel is handling the custody of all 12 as though they had entered illegally—even though they were forcibly abducted from international waters and brought into Israel against their will.
Those who did not consent to leave remain in detention and will appear before a tribunal. But we know Israel’s so-called "justice system" exists to uphold apartheid, occupation and colonization—not deliver justice, and that they will ultimately order a forced expulsion.
While the world stands by 'Madleen', we must also stand by and fight for Palestinians unlawfully imprisoned. According to Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, as of June 4, 2025, there are over 10,400 Palestinians held captive in Israeli dungeons. Of those, more than 400 are children and more than 3,500 are held without trial, charge, or minimal due process. The world is watching."
"Freedom Flotilla Coalition Update – June 10, 2025: Eight from the 'Madleen' remain illegally detained by Israel after being abducted in international waters while attempting to deliver aid to Gaza.
Today, they were brought before a detention tribunal at Ramleh. Israel continues to falsely claim they “illegally entered”—despite taking them at sea and transferring them into Israeli territory against their will. The state has imposed 100-year entry bans on all of those aboard the 'Madleen'. Thiago Ávila has been on hunger and water strike since early yesterday. Others report unsanitary conditions, including bed bug infestations and no access to safe drinking water."

"Palestinians in Gaza are being starved, denied aid, genocided- and this is all on live stream and on our watch. A statement from Yasemin Acar, FFC volunteer on ‘Madleen’ who was kidnapped by IOF, forcibly taken to Israel and currently being held in detention is delivered by her brother J. Acar. This is the real story. J. Acar (Brother of Yasemin Acar, Madleen Crew detained by israeli authority): 'I have a message from my sister, Yasemin. She says, 'Please keep your focus on Gaza. People are starving. Children are starving. Entire families are surviving without clean water, without food, without medicine. And this is happening on our watch. And by looking away, by staying silent, we are complicit. There comes a point where looking away becomes a crime. And we are there now. The purpose of the Flotilla was about breaking the siege, opening a humanitarian sea corridor, and delivering food and medicine to Palestinians. But what happened instead is we were intercepted and taken to Israel against our will. We were kidnapped in international waters and we never reached Gaza. I did not enter israeli territory ilegally, and i did not choose to stay in israel. I was brought here by force, which is in violation of international law. I refuse being pressure into signing any document that says otherwise. I have not commited a crime, delivering aid is not a crime. Taking us against our will in international waters, is. But our kidnapping is nothing compared to what's happening in Gaza. Please keep your focus on the real issue.'" [Freedom Flotilla Coalition, 2025, https://t.me/FFC_official_channel]
"News as of 6 pm Jerusalem time: Thiago Ávila and Rima Hassan are now held in solitary confinement under punitive and inhumane conditions: Thiago was placed in isolation in Ayalon Prison due to his ongoing hunger and thirst strike, which he began two days ago. He has also been treated aggressively by prison authorities, although this has not escalated to physical assault. Rima Hassan was placed in isolation under inhumane conditions in Neve Tirza Prison after writing “Free Palestine” on a wall in Givon Prison. She was moved to a small, windowless cell with extremely poor hygienic conditions and has been denied access to the prison yard. The others remain illegally detained by Israeli authorities. Adalah lawyers demands their immediate release and an end to retaliatory measures." [Freedom Flotilla Coalition, 2025, https://t.me/FFC_official_channel]

"Lara, speaking from Brazil, has had no contact with her husband, Thiago Ávila, since he was abducted and detained illegally by Israeli forces from the 'Madleen'. Since then, Thiago has been placed in solitary confinement, denied communication with his family. According to Lara, Israeli authorities threatened Thiago with the psychological torment of isolation without light or ventilation. Despite this, Thiago remains on hunger strike, holding firm to his belief in justice for Palestinians and the right of every child to food, safety, and freedom. From his prison cell, he wrote a letter to his 1-year-old daughter. Lara generously shares that with us today. ''Dear, Teresa. I'm sorry I'm not around with you these days, with you these days, but daddy has been trying to bring food to other children as beautiful as you, who unfortunately are being starved by people who don't understand that every single human being has the right to live free. To be happy in their communities, to access food, water, and everything else that is needed to survive. Your father is one of tue millions of people who are now doing something to stop the biggest violation of our generation. The fact that I'm doing this in solitary confinement on a hunger strike in israeli prison does not make me any more important that everyone else doing demonstrations, disrupting around factories, breaking the media blockades, and boycotts, and especially every Palestinians who have been living eight decades of genocide. We are all together, answering this historical calling of our generation. I really hope to enter home soon, and I hope that our home in Brazil, that is so wel known for being a land of love and joy, that they have the courage to break relations with israel and not be complicit in this colonial apartheid system. Hopefully, our fellow participants from the Freedom Flotilla mission will manage to go home soon. And then, it will be my turn. I dream about you and your mother everyday. I love you so much and that's why I can't accept that the world you are going up in has so much exploitation, oppression and destruction of nature. Please tell your mother and everyone else who reads this letter that there are thousanda of people marching to Gaza from Tunisia, we need to support them. Do not fear for your father. I'm well. I'm hopeful. I'm coming home soon. Love, Dad.' This is a call not just for Thiago’s release, but for the world to pay attention to Gaza, to Palestine, and to all people who are exploited, forced to live under occupation." "The governments of the world failed to provide safe passage to the Madleen, to allow humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza, who have been facing ethnic cleansing for 80 years and an illegal blockade for 18 years. To prevent ongoing Israeli war crimes they must immediately step up, oppose the apartheid regime of Israel and provide safe passage to the Sumoud convoy in Egypt. The time to act is now. Free Palestine!" [Mark Van Rennes, 2025, https://t.me/FFC_official_channel]
"Şuayb, our beautiful friend and man capable of any job, was abducted in international waters, while trying to bring food and medicine to Palestinians in Gaza. His wife, Sumerya, shares their story about joining the Freedom Flotilla Coalition last year in Istanbul for the 'Break the Siege' action, followed by 'Handala', the 'Conscience', and now 'Madleen'. She carries his voice forward, because this was never just about any of us. It’s about Palestinians who have endured Israel's brutal siege, aparthied, occupation, unlawful imprisonment, bombs, and global silence for far too long. Gaza is still waiting. And so we must keep sailing. 'We are not the center of the story. And we dont want to be. The true center is the people of Gaza. The ones who have been waiting, enduring, hoping for years. We arw just the side characters, and if we don't speak, if we don't show, if we don't document this, the world only sees a thumbnail, a number, a short headline, a video you scroll past. So, yes, of course I'm missing Suayb. I want to see him. I'm really, really proud of him.'" [Sumerya, 2025, https://t.me/FFC_official_channel]
"Lubna Tuma from Adalah Legal Centre provided us with a briefing on the status of the Flotilla members who were abducted from international waters by Israeli forces on 9th June 2025. Recorded just after leaving a legal counsel meeting held with the Flotilla volunteers in Givon prison, she comments on the numerous violations of human rights they were subjected to during the court hearing and in Israeli custody. Since recording Rima Hassan is no longer in solitary confinement. ''We know that all of them stated in the court hearing that they didn't enter israel. They are kidnapped into israel. They were dragged into israel forcibly and against their free will. Therefore, they want to continue the mission of entering the humanitarian aid to Gaza. They stated all stated that the siege on Gaza is illegal. They all stated that the famine in Gaza obligate them morally to enter humanitarian aid. Israel doesn't have the authority to seize them, captivate them and arrest them and keep them in custody because they were in international water. Therefore, they were refused to be deported, if deportation means that they acknowledge their entrance to israel illegally.'" [Freedom Flotilla Coalition, 2025, https://t.me/FFC_official_channel]

"Thousands of people are rising across continents - on foot, in boats, in streets and squares - to say no more.
No more siege. No more starvation. No more occupation. No more genocide. From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free. Follow and support March to Gaza today."
"Rima Hassan and Reva Viard arrive in Paris June 12. The struggle continues".
"Now with Israel's attack on Iran, the airports are shut down, and our three remaining 'Madleen' team members, Pascal Maurieras, Yanis Mhamdi, and Marco van Rennes may face an extra month, illegally detained in Israeli prison. All three were meant to be released and flying back to their families today, June 13. The French and Dutch governments must find alternative routes and get their citizens home, whether through Jordan or otherwise - NOW."

“'I hope we can honor that [love of Palestinians] by being a country that is not the fourth largest exporter of oil for that genocidal machine, who has no academic contracts, who has no drone maintenance contracts, who does not train state police, who does not buy rifles that are tested on Palestinian bodies..' Thiago Ávila, Brazilian activist who was illegally detained by Israel aboard the Madleen humanitarian ship delivers a speech denouncing the complicity of the Brazilian government in Israeli crimes and demanding an immediate cut to relations with what he called the 'genocidal machine' after being forcibly deported from Israel back to Brazil."
"Thiago Ávila, Brazilian activist who was illegally detained by Israel aboard the Madleen humanitarian ship in international waters and kept in Israeli prisons for three days is now left with skin irritations as a result of the abusive circumstances prisoners face is Israeli prisons. The irritations on his skin are the same as the ones seen on Palestinian prisoners detained by Israeli forces. Thiago and other flotilla activists call for the freedom of the three remaining activists; Pascal Maurieras, Yanis Mhamdi, and Marco Van Rennes who are currently illegally held in the Israeli Givon prison."

"Three members of the Madleen team—Pascal Maurieras, Yanis Mhamdi, and Marco van Rennes—are still illegally detained by Israel and may be held for another month. Arrested unlawfully in international waters and denied basic rights, they are being held in inhumane conditions, with only one hour of light per day and severe skin infections from bed bug infestations. This is not detention. It is hostage-taking. We urge the French and Dutch governments to take immediate action to secure their release and safe return home—especially with airports now shut due to Israel’s aggression on Iran. We demand they be held together, treated humanely, and that international law be upheld. The struggle continues until Palestine is free."
"Yanis Mhamdi, from his prison cell: 'If I had to do it all over again, I'd do exactly the same thing'. Illegally detained in Israel since the attack on the “Gaza Freedom Flotilla” in international waters, journalist Yanis Mhamdi sent us a letter, written from his prison cell, before news had reached him of a possible one month extension due to Israel's attacks on Iran."

"Israeli airports may be closed due to its aggression against Iran, but there are other options. The bridge crossing into Jordan remains open and internationals can and have been deported via this route in the past. Three of our volunteers, Mark (Netherlands) and Pascal and Yanis (France) are still imprisoned. Please continue pressuring their governments to bring them home. Contact Embassies in Tel Aviv for both the French and Dutch governments and ask them to do their job." [Freedom Flotilla Coalition, 2025, https://t.me/FFC_official_channel]
